The Fiona Wood Foundation is pleased to announce the recipients of the 2026 Emergency Management of Severe Burns (EMSB) Scholarships, registered nurses Shinae Cox (Children’s and Adolescent Health Services) and Gabriel Espedillon (Fiona Stanley Hospital).
The Foundation is providing full-course-fee scholarships to support Western Australian health professionals in undertaking the ANZBA Emergency Management of Severe Burns course. EMSB is a nationally recognised program that focuses on the initial assessment, stabilisation, and transfer of patients with severe burn injuries, particularly in emergency and early acute care settings. The course will be delivered in Perth on 23 May 2026 .
This support reflects the Foundation’s strategic commitment to Impactful Education, equipping health professionals with the knowledge and skills to prevent burns, deliver effective first aid, and provide timely, effective care that improves recovery outcomes.
