One bucket list experience. One worthy cause. One unforgettable day.
On the 24th and 25th of October, 65 incredible people took on the Central Park Plunge 2025 in support of the Fiona Wood Foundation. Together, stepping out of their comfort zones, conquering their fears, and raising vital funds to help us continue to bring science to the bedside.
It was inspiring to see our community come together from burn families and charity partners to corporate teams, supporters, and our own research and clinical teams. The energy, encouragement, and camaraderie across the event days captured the very essence of what the Plunge is all about: people helping people.
We are thrilled to share that our 2025 CPP crew have collectivley raised an extraordinary $137,030 to support FWF research and education efforts.
Congratulations to the highest fundraising teams:
- 🥇 Bendigo Bank Rate Drop $21,146
- 🥈 Genus Vertical Vision $19,876
- 🥉 Parsons Group $11,521
And our top individual fundraisers:
- 🥇 Nigel Williamson $15,131.84
- 🥈 Josh Parsons $7,923.01
- 🥉 Terika Horwood $4,835.90
Events like the Central Park Plunge are not possible without those who offer their time and support. A special thank you to our rope pull crew Lachie, Gerry, Pauric, Steve and Dan for taking on one of the most physical roles of the day, with Lachie once again earning the title of our unofficial MVP Rope Puller of 2025. We also thank The Good Grocer Myaree and Princi for keeping everyone fuelled across both days.
To every Plunger, donor, volunteer and supporter who helped make this event possible thank you. Your contribution strengthens burns research and care for children and families across Western Australia.
This year marked the ten-year milestone of the Central Park Plunge. Our thanks go to Zenith Events, especially Ralph and Braydan, for delivering another exceptional event and supporting charities across WA.
Until next year… 🧡
