Central Park Plunge returns in 2026, with registrations now open for one of the Fiona Wood Foundation’s most anticipated community fundraising events of the year!
Taking place on Friday, 13 November (PM), 60 participants will abseil 130 metres down Central Park Tower on St George’s Terrace, coming together to support burns research and care.
The event brings individuals, teams and organisations together in support of work that improves outcomes for people living with burn injuries, their families, and the wider community.
Your WHY
This year, funds raised through the Central Park Plunge will support the next brilliant mind in burns research by fully funding a Research Fellow. By investing in people, the Foundation is helping to accelerate the path from discovery to real-world impact, bringing new diagnostics, treatments and prevention strategies closer to patients and communities.
Participation is open to individuals, pairs and teams of four, offering a unique way to get involved and support this work.
Last year, all harnesses were filled in record time. With places limited, early registration is encouraged.
