To our FWF community,
This year has highlighted the strength and unity within our research and clinical teams. We have navigated complex challenges while continuing to ask important questions, explore new ideas and support one another in the work ahead. I have been encouraged by the way our people have come together with focus and determination, ensuring that progress has continued across every area of our mission.
Throughout the year, our researchers, clinicians and partners have strengthened collaborations and turned emerging knowledge into action. We have progressed key research projects, delivered education in regional WA and supported multidisciplinary teams as they embed evidence into care. This work ensures that new insights move beyond the laboratory and into meaningful improvements in treatment and recovery.
I am especially proud of the momentum we have gained in patient involvement across our studies. Listening to the voices of those with lived experience sharpens our thinking and helps us ensure our work reflects the needs of the people it is designed to support.
None of this progress would be possible without the generosity and encouragement we receive from our community. To everyone who has contributed time, knowledge, funding or lived experience, thank you. Your support strengthens us and allows us to continue this vital work.
As we look toward 2026, we remain focused on advancing science, improving care and supporting recovery in ways that make a lasting difference. I wish you a safe and restorative festive season spent with the people you love.
Yours
Fiona Wood
