Thanks to the support of the Perth Children’s Hospital Foundation (PCHF), a revolutionary 3D scar scanner has been purchased that will enhance clinical burns care scar management and can be used as a vital tool for clinical research and data acquisition.
The scanner is an innovative piece of equipment that can generate high-resolution 3d maps of scars in seconds, allowing for accurate measurement of scars and data collection that can inform the best course of treatment. Access to advanced technology such as the scanner is instrumental for WA to continue to be at the forefront of burn car and scar reduction.
We want to send our heartfelt thanks to PCHF for helping to fund this new piece of equipment that will improve the lives of children who have suffered from a burn injury.
