Fiona Wood Foundation researcher Dr Blair Johnson showcased his research at the BrightSpark Foundation Alumni Showcase in Perth on 11 June 2026, following an invitation to participate as a recipient of a BrightSpark Fellowship.
Awarded for 2025-2027, the fellowship supports Blair’s project, A Novel Model to Understand Heart Disease in Childhood Burns, which explores the potential long-term cardiovascular consequences of childhood burn injuries.
At the showcase, Blair hosted an interactive display highlighting his work and its potential to inform future approaches to improving long-term health outcomes for children who have experienced burn injuries.
The Foundation acknowledges BrightSpark’s continued support of early-career researchers like Blair and the opportunities it creates for them to advance their work.
