Dr Lucy Barrett, Senior Research Fellow and Co-Head of the Burn Injury Research Unit at the Fiona Wood Foundation and The University of Western Australia, was invited to speak at the Snow Centre for Immune Health Annual Symposium, held in Melbourne from 3–5 March 2026, in recognition of her work in translational immunology research.
The symposium brought together researchers working across immunology and related areas of health research, providing an opportunity to exchange knowledge, discuss current research priorities and explore areas of shared interest.
For Lucy, the visit was also an opportunity to learn more about the Snow Centre’s approach to translating research into clinical practice and to continue discussions with researchers working in complementary fields.
Reflecting on the visit, Lucy shared:
“The symposium provided a valuable opportunity to engage with leading researchers, gain insight into the Centre’s translational approach and developing research pipelines, and progress collaborative work where there is strong alignment in our research priorities and overall vision.”
