Burn Management Program

This Burn Management Program is specifically designed for clinicians—nurses, doctors, paramedics—working in high-risk industries and regional areas of Western Australia. It provides evidence-based, face-to-face training that covers initial care, assessment, and management, focusing on paediatric and adult burns. Through face-to-face workshops with a skilled practitioner, participants will learn about first aid, fluid resuscitation, and wound dressing, equipping them with expert-level preparedness to handle burn injuries effectively.

Burns Awareness, Prevention, and First Aid Resources for the Community

Our evidence-based strategies, resources, and community awareness campaigns aim to reduce the frequency and severity of burn injuries by increasing awareness of burn hazards and prevention measures. Instilling key principles, such as the critical “20 minutes to cool a burn” rule, ensures more people know how to respond effectively, improving outcomes when burns occur.
